Poison Poison Poison
Everybody's first reaction to things seems to be to kill it. Bugs, plants deemed weeds, animals, other people. Even entire species and eco systems. Whatever happened to live and let live?

Feeling Angry but still having compassion
I find myself feeling very angry at those who have caused this oil spill eco disaster. I find the value that they put on money over life to be purely evil and i want them to come to some sort of painful justice.
But at the same time i feel compassion for them that they have gone so far astray. It's not easy to reconcile the two feelings.

To all of the people who were, or are, on the "drill baby drill" bandwagon. I ask you. Now that an eco disaster of monumental proportions is happening. Was it worth it?

Oh how i missed it
Did 6 miles on the bike tonight. The outside air hitting me in the face and the wind rushing past my ears. Stopping to sit and watch the late night people going by...How i missed it indeed...

Willful ignorance
racist people
greed
vendictiveness
impatience
mental and physical laziness
judgmentalness
war
violence
cruelty
calousness
whineyness
nitpickiness
people with control issues
hypocrits
self centered people
these are things that i "hate"... A partial list...Most people have at least one of these qualities...And i thank them for the opportunity to deepen my practice of loving kindness...

I guess i really shouldn't have expected too much from someone who thinks horribly racist songs are funny to listen to and who also did not uinderstand why a joke about jews in the oven was NOT funny...
